at 12:15 am. Filed under DIY Hacks, Electronic Hacks, Toy Hacks

Long time maker Bob Davis has made a Robo-Raptor that is controlled by an Arduino. When the stock electronics in a product don’t do what you want just hack some new brains into them! This robot is from the pages of his book, Arduino Robotics Projects.

It’s not walking properly because it’s supposed to shift it’s weight from side to side as it walks, the tipping is what picks it’s foot off the ground.
In theory, you should be able to get it to move forward, backward, and make turns by properly coordinating the two actions.

I tried swinging its tail to shift its weight but it did not help much. It does shift its weight some on its own. -Bob
