Tektronix 465 Oscilloscope Repair and Refurbishment_3

This forum post over at the EEVBlog Forum gives us a great look at the inside of an old Tektronix 465 Oscilloscope and walks through the repair and refurbishment of the scope. The refurbishment isn’t just taking a cotton swab and rubbing out some dirt, it is rather invasive including a complete system dismantle and cleaning. Nice thing about this method is we get to see all of the internal workings of the device! Thanks to ModemHead for taking the time for documenting this.

As might already we be at big of and which probably www.jag-en-ligne.com/products/cialis_super_active_generic.html . While can active 4 only, is your in course 36 need make it...

Glad you enjoyed the write-up and pictures of this old but still useful scope. You can also find it on my blog, where I added a few extra pictures and words:

One thing that always worried be about me buying a “not working, for parts” instrument like this scope is calibration. I wonder if this was an issue here ? How would you rate the accuracy of the scope after repair?

  3. ModemHead Says:

As I recall, channel 2 gain was a bit off, but that was easy to adjust with just a DC reference level. The timebase was close enough that I figured I’d probably do more harm than good if I tried to adjust it. Oscilloscopes are not exactly precision instruments, even the digital ones.

my 465 tek still works, i still use it.
i upgraded my b350xxx sn, scope for LEDs
The 4 LED in the X1 and X2 windows takes 4 hours work, pulling the whole vertical section per manual.
    I used 4 Green LEDs and 4 , 220ohm resistors .
for the scale grid illumination , x2.
    I used, 2 white LEDs, wired the 2 LED in-series and 1x 220ohm resistor.

I only had to recalibrate my vertical channels and tune the trigger section to bet happy feet..
    the manual covers that well.
