Kiriakos Triantafyllou from Volos – Greece is a 40 years old  Industrial electrician. He shares this project on the EEVBlog Forum which shows us how he built a professional looking DIY Resistors Decade Box.  Have a look at some of the very neat wiring, I am thinking this looks better than some of the vintage electronic gear I have taken apart where everything used to be point to point wired. With an end cost over 109 Euros it wasn’t a cheap build but it should last a lifetime so the cost is really no big deal in the long term. The labels make the system look store bought, believe it or not they were just printed with a HP 970 Cxi  printer on glossy photo paper.

Seems like he messed up the text on the first knob.. 0.10 mOhm. By my guess, it should either have been 100 mOhm or 0.1 Ohm.

I was unable to locate where the h*** he posted the picture topics :S

I am the maker of this project , and the full link about it are :

The correction about the 100 mOhm label was made afterward’s,
after the suggestion of an valuable member of the EEV blog community.

The owner of EEV-blog (David L. Jones) , he was my inspiration about discovering the details and little secrets about the modern “Digital Multi Meters” aka DMM .

Currently I own my own reference resistors box with the 10DC reference voltage,
and the 1030 MicroCal Voltage & Current Source
from Time Electronics (UK ) .

Those two devices, are capable tools ,
for basic accuracy test , over any multimeter.
