Kiriakos Triantafyllou from Volos – Greece is a 40 years old Industrial electrician. He shares this project on the EEVBlog Forum which shows us how he built a professional looking DIY Resistors Decade Box. Have a look at some of the very neat wiring, I am thinking this looks better than some of the vintage electronic gear I have taken apart where everything used to be point to point wired. With an end cost over 109 Euros it wasn’t a cheap build but it should last a lifetime so the cost is really no big deal in the long term. The labels make the system look store bought, believe it or not they were just printed with a HP 970 Cxi printer on glossy photo paper. |

Seems like he messed up the text on the first knob.. 0.10 mOhm. By my guess, it should either have been 100 mOhm or 0.1 Ohm.
I was unable to locate where the h*** he posted the picture topics :S

The correction about the 100 mOhm label was made afterward’s,
after the suggestion of an valuable member of the EEV blog community.
The owner of EEV-blog (David L. Jones) , he was my inspiration about discovering the details and little secrets about the modern “Digital Multi Meters” aka DMM .
Currently I own my own reference resistors box with the 10DC reference voltage,
and the 1030 MicroCal Voltage & Current Source
from Time Electronics (UK ) .
Those two devices, are capable tools ,
for basic accuracy test , over any multimeter.
