What to do with a nice camera that is damaged beyond repair? The obvious answer is take it apart to see what makes it tick. This Sony Alpha A200 was completely non-repairable but the pictures of its dissection are absolutely wonderful.

COool, I’ve got this specific camera but I haven’t been tempted to take it apart because it’s
a jewel, simply a symbol of Sony’s trademark reliability.I have already 7000 frames taken with it
and it still holds on. The big fat chip you can see on the 3′rd picture is the Bionz procecing
    chip.
I never realised how much stuff is cramed in that small casing

ohh, and the second picture represents the core of the camera: the mirror and shutter assembly.
I feel bad for the poor camera, mine is always hanging from my neck from the strap.
