Great Article! I was given a bunch of these pov fans with message already installed and was poking around for a hack to be able to reprogram them. Problem is that mine are found with a five not four pin header. Are they the same with different header? Or are they using a different chip and method of programming? USB? I will disect one to see what all is inside, maybe it is the same chip with extra gnd, lol. If hackable might be a great learning project for students…
