We have seen lots of interesting thumb drives such as the Hard Drive thumb drive array, and the VHS Thumb Drive. Now thanks to CF14 Industries we have a Vacuum Tube Thumb Drive. It takes a bit of trial and error to build one so I would have a few tubes on hand before you try to build your own.

Completely unused oscilloscope in the background just for fun?
Grab a tiny low voltage/current indicator globe and hide it in there to look like the glow of the heater, don’t stoop to using a led.

And here I was imagining a vacuum tube itself being the data storage. Oh well, I can dream. Dream of a usb key needing an obnoxious amount of power to continually refresh an obnoxiously small amount of data.
