Matthieu Deru and Simon Bergweiler from the German Research Center have put together an impressive hack that allows you to Fly in Google Earth using the Wii Balance Board

    I’ve been wondering when the Google would puts out a version of Google Earth that works on the popular gaming consoles. Think about it. The 3d graphics are already there, all you would need is a disk with the app and an internet connection, which most of the games require anyway.

    The Wii + GE is a beautiful match, but it should work on any of the other consoles.

    Talk about a killer app.

    Absolutely amazing idea. The company that first releases open source video games will be the one that lasts (i would assume their primary income would be off of hardware.) These ideas are fantastic though. Thanks for another great idea.
