The iPod Touch is hardware is very similar to the iPhone. Some smart guys at Touch Mods have developed a way to use the iPod Touch as a VOIP phone! Thanks John.

I love to have the GPS itouch mod along with this!!! I’m sure the service is cheaper too!!!
Hm - could someone tell me whether the software is capable of running in the background on the device or whether I’d have to have it on screen just to be reachable (and therefore could not use it as an MP3 player anymore while waiting for a call)?

To make phone calls with itouch you have to be inside a wifi connections, right? Otherwise it wont work…
or you could just use an iphone headphone set and use the app from the appstore that does the exact same thing…..
