Top 5 Hacked Missile Launchers

When it comes to USB devices I think missile launchers have to be one of the best additions to the group! Have a look at these great missile hacks. Did your favorite hack not make the list? Leave a comment to let us know.

“The following video illustrates how a to translate values from your PC Joystick to control a USB Missile Launcher and fire at objects that you see from its point of view. A camera is attached to the back of the USB Missile Launcher to show you what you are targeting.”

“£19 usb missile launcher, £9 webcam, £3 laser pointer, Roborealm free vision sytem software + bit of custom visual basic code = laser guided usb missile launcher.
Point laser pointer any where in the field of the web cam and the turrent will move to put the laser point in the middle of the screen and when it stops moving it will fire its missile’s.”

This one has some geeky requirements!

“Requirements:
————-
0. python (>=2.3)
1. libusb (>=0.1.8)
2. pyusb (==0.3.1) python module with patch included below
3. urwid python module”

“CSULB Engineering Technology Student. With the use of Glovepie, the wiimote tilt function are used to control the USB missile launcher.”

I think this one is probably the most dangerous one out of the bunch, apparently it can shoot 90 feet!

    Hi…

    As much as I enjoy reading hackedgadgets (mostly via RSS) and the contests you run, visiting the website itself drives me *insane*.

    Those Snapshot previews I find incredibly annoying and make the site almost unusable–I’ve never been able to get the “disable all” function to work, even if I enable off-site cookies.

    I realise you’ve got pay for bandwidth but other things like the intellitext stuff just slow everything down and paint the site in a poor light IMO.

    Hope this feedback is useful.

    P.S. Woo, Missle launchers! :-)

    P.P.S. This comment brought to you by frustration and the Christmas comment contest… :-)

    I had not really seen any missile launchers in action before. They are actually kinda neat. I wonder if it would be possible to make them more powerful though…hmmm.

    Hey Follower,

    I appreciate your feedback. I have been questioning the benefits of the snap preview. I thought it would be interesting to see where the link will take you before clicking on it… But I have had quite a few emails requesting them to be taken off the site. They are off the site now, lets see if there are any requests to get them back. :)

    There’s locally installable options out there, if they really want them…
