AMP6 CLASS-T KIT Build

at 11:01 am. Filed under Electronic Hacks

Interested in building your next audio amp, before you do have a look at some builds so that you can see what you are in for. This AMP6 looks like a fun build.

“The AMP6 is a small amplifier that uses the Tripath TA2020 chip and includes an onboard regulated power supply. The manufacturer, Tripath Technology, Inc. describes Class-T amplifiers as offering both the audio fidelity of Class-AB and the power efficiency of Class-D amplifiers.”

Built this kit a while ago. Wanted a clean amp to drive some great old discontinued Radio Shack Minimus speakers for when I have my powerbook sitting on the desk.

Excellent price, zero hiss, just clean responsive sound from classical to bass -laden modern beats.

You don’t need a massive heatsink at all with this kit or the fancy capacitors they show in the build. Everything is included to get going immediately..
