LED Coffee Table

at 5:34 am. Filed under Crazy Hacks, Electronic Hacks

Using a bunch of microcontroller controlled white LEDs is one way to jazz up a coffee table! Check out the LED Coffee Table that Evil Mad Scientists has developed. If you think this technology would look nice in your table you are in luck since you can purchase a kit to build your very own.

Video after the jump.

“Our kits include the giant printed circuit boards, components, instructions, regulated power supply, and all other parts needed to build the electronic portion of the table tops. Constructed, you end up with what essentially amounts to a single extra-ginormous circuit board that can sit underneath the clear or frosted glass (or plastic) top of your own table. The complete six-panel kit costs $350, and the complete eight-panel kit costs $450. Our standard LED option is a 50/50 mixture of blue and white LEDs. You can also choose all blue or all white LEDs at no extra cost. Most other LED colors and combinations are available for an additional charge of $50 (per kit).”

    Hi Joe,

The stair light kit is different. This table is actually not made by me.
