They didn’t make buses like this when I was going to school. After the jet engine got crammed in there I bet there is still room for 2 or 3 people making this a nicely versatile vehicle. The video after the jump is an example of what could be done with the regular school buses.

What does it do other than sound loud and look semi-cool? I was expecting to at least see it move a few feet.

WTF..?!! The clip was like about 6 minutes and it only shown flame, smoke and noise without even moving..?!! I can do that with my bicycle load with fire crackers and it still moves with way less cost…

Why doesn’t it move?!
August 9th, 2007
Anyone have a home video of this thing on the move? I can’t seem to be able to find any more footage of this thing online…

Thanks for the video, not the same school bus but looks just as wild.

Not the same school bus, and that one doesn’t’ appear to have a jet engine, so it moving isn’t that surprising (just a big motor to do wheelies with). Anyone have footage of a school bus, with a jet, moving? Because so far it seems to be:
Useless:2
Functional: 0

[…] Jet-Powered School Bus: Apparently, this heavily modified school bus is packing a 40-50’s era Westinghouse J-34 Turbojet under that bright yellow exterior. These engines were capable of producing at least 3000 pounds of thrust—but since the bus never moves it’s hard to tell how fast you could get to school riding in this thing.
