If you have a BMW I would suggest getting a good alarm system. Have a look at the video to see why. Companies like Zieh Fix are keeping car manufacturers on their toes.
Why not just make a set of 16 precut keys? Would be even faster to try them all then to use the decoding tool… But what about the alarm and immobilizer?
