I have been wanting to make something like this myself for quite a while, but LCDs are too expensive for me. They set their sights much higher than I did though, I was going to settle for 3x 1024×768 VGA.
One thing though, that image doesn’t have seems between the screens. I’m assuming the image has been photoshopped?

This looks cool. I have thought about this myself for a long time too. Would be great for flight sims.
I think the poor mans option would be to buy some lcd screens with broken backlights or
backlight controllers.
Assemble into a prame and backlight using some standard flourescent tubes.
Just hinting at all you hacked gadgeteers out there, ha ha.

I found this site a few days ago, and emailed them about prices. Here’s the response I got:

We are in a pre-production phase for the Radius320 now - hence the CAD images on the website. We expect to be in full production Q1-2007.
The price is $15,995. This model is aimed at the Oil & Gas markets. We are taking orders now, so let me know if you would like to be put on the waiting list.

WHAT A RIPOFF! They must be aiming it at the oil and gas industry because they are the only industry that is so rich right now that they wouldn’t care about the price! That’s over $5000 per panel? So it’s $300 per panel, plus $4700 to attach it to the other panels? Ludicrous.

agreed…. that is way to expensive… the monitor is clever but not REVOLUTIONARY… I am sure that someone could DIY with some experimenting…. unfortunatly that person is not me…

I know it’s OFN, but here it is.
For anyone with enough money to spare, what you could possible do is remove the front & back casing, then trim the part eg far left remove the frame on the right side, middle remove both left and right…
Put them back together and their is you go. the only difference you may have a small gap or line.
