Hi Cam Aerial Video System

at 8:01 am. Filed under Cool Gadgets

I am thinking that these small transmitters by Hi Cam Aerial Video Systems could be mounted on anything. The signal quality is fantastic!

“The new Pro X2 is the latest system from Hi Cam.
It transmits live, high-quality video and audio from R/C aircraft and UAVs. The signal is picked up by the included receiver which connects to a TV monitor, VCR or camcorder.

This new model builds on all the strengths of our previous Micro 100 and Pro 100.

Like these previous models, it’s carefully designed for the special needs of R/C aircraft and UAVs.”

I can think of about a million other products like this, but none that are this high quality.

Nice system, and for the price of 500 bones, this is a very solid investment. You’ll spend at least that much on a similar system of inferior quality–replacing it whenever it breaks. I especially like that the antenna is a standard 2.4GHz antenna.

This is what you’ll likely see when you buy another ‘wireless’ camera: http://tinyurl.com/rcnpe

Those cameras are powered off a 9V battery, which only lasts about, oh, 10m under good conditions. Not to mention that the video output is iffy at best. Trust me, I’ve bought them before.

My mistake… It is almost 600 bones. Still worth it IMO, though.
