Super Sky Cycle

at 6:35 pm. Filed under Insane Equipment

The Super Sky Cycle is exactly what I need to commute to work. Too bad I would need a pilots license to fly it…

“Former test pilot Larry Neal of Boyd, Texas created this awesome flying machine called the Super Sky Cycle (basically a flying bike – technically a cross between a motorcycle and an autogyro).

The flying bike goes as fast as 70 mph in the air and 60 mph on the road, and sells for around $25 grand!”

In the year that I had it and the 100 times or so that I was on it, probably almost died 25 of those times. Luckily nothing ever happened… Anyhoo… Best invention ever and relatively cheap for what it is, a FLYING MOTORCYCLE!!! Awesoma Power! […]

Holy cow this is pretty cool. Definitely only designed for one person but the concept is still pretty wicked. What happens if the engine goes out in flight? Any kind of safety backup on this?
