at 5:50 am. Filed under Computer Hacks, DIY Hacks, Electronic Hacks

If you need to do some temperature measurement, this project will allow you to interface an inexpensive yet accurate sensor to your computer.

“This small circuit can measure and on the Bildschirm/in of a log file spend/store a temperature exact up to 0.5 C° with a DS1820 Temeratursensor. That e.g. is. practically in order over Internet/Lan temperatures in areas to supervise (server area) or around the outside temperature on an Internet side indicate. Under Linux one can let the measured temperatures evaluate with RDTOOL as graphic curve. This is stored in a .gif file. Also several sensors parallel can be attached, because these use the 1 Wire minutes (r). (more to it at company Dallas (Maxim), who manufactures the sensors) the circuit consists of 5 construction units, one or more sensors and a plug for the serial interface. ”
