Actually, it is more common than you might think, South and Central American businessmen, lawyers, and judges are GPS and RFID chips implanted so that they can be located in the case of abduction.

There are lots of questions regarding to privacy.
On the other hand….
When an ambulance found someone, unconscious with no usual ID (Yup it must be in my other jacket), it could give them very vital info.
But.. I’d be cautious when banks would want such an ID. A guy with three or more hands might try to get some money at the wall
